Vacation – had to get away! I’m right in the middle of planning a vacation with P. R0b0t in the sometime “not-so-distant” (meaning never) future. First it was a week in the Bahamas, then it was two weeks Brazil, now it’s a year in Africa helping the gorillas his mother supposedly steals from old ex-Southern belles fundraises money for. Personally, the Robot & I have never gone any farther than the Santa Monica Promenade, and that’s not for lunch, that’s for special occassions.

But I still enjoy indulging my delusional side, so off I went deep, deep into the interweb trying to find some prime hotels. I came across this website/blog that had some great suggestions on boutique hotels. It’s a little sparce, but get a couple of good hotels on your list and it becomes a lot easier to find the prime areas of lodging.

As for Africa, well, I only help animals without opposable thumbs.
