♥ TINKY-TINY USB CAMERA
Still trying to figure out if this real and if it takes pictures larger than the common nipple.
♥ BEAUTIFUL KATAMARI IN MY HANDS FEB 29TH!
Additional Xbox Live levels include “Shopping Spree”, “Milky Way Constellations”, “High Calorie Katamari”, “The Weaver Girl”, “Mechanical Katamari”, “Dangerous Katmari”, and “Perfectly Sized Katamari”.
♥ LAST DAY OF THE ‘DESIGNING HYBRID WEARABLES’ WORKSHOP
More arty-farty fun from Mediamatic in the Netherlands. Hopefully a wrap-up of the last three days of workable/wearable creations will be posted in the coming weeks.
It’s 72º outside and it’s thirty inside. What kind of stupid math is that? I have to wear socks and shoes, a scarf, AND a hat just to walk around my house, which makes me look real dumb when I actually leave the house and see people riding their bikes without their shirts on.
MORE WAYS TO STAY DEPRESSED
The mp3 of a KQED call-in forum show is available featuring Dave Eggers as well as “the protagonist” of his new book, Valentino Achak Deng. Valentino is a Sudanese refugee that was also featured in the documentary the Lost Boys of the Sudan (which I am netflixing as we speak, you should too) and let me tell you,he has been through SOME SHIT. Unfortunately, I don’t know what all that shit is because most of the people who called in quickly commended Valentino for being an inspiration before going on THEIR righteous OPINIONS about the state of world affairs to date. I’m talking to you stay-at-home moms, and retired physician dude who said that Valentino’s survival was nothing more than a story of the “cause du jour” (uh, dude, you can say “No offense” at the beginnging of a sentence, but it doesn’t mean I’m not really going to take offense to it). I can’t really get that upset, “call-in” shows just begs that kind of behavior.
Nevertheless it was a very interesting interview to listen to while I made my eggs.

I HATE STREET SWEEPING. I swear it’s one of the ways the beaureacrats keep the community in their houses so they don’t cause trouble. Or a way to keep the streets clean. Either way, I’m stuck here so I’ll recap some exciting things that happened last week like y’all think it’s exciting too.
COOKING MAMA
You are looking at the new proud owner of Cooking Mama for the Nintendo DS. Not a new game you say, but very hard to find in English (apparently the language that only people who want to play games like Gears of War speak).
It’s pretty damn fun, I gotta say, except every once and a while a mystery ingredient needs to be added to the recipe and it always looks like poo. The Japanese will eat anything.
NEW(ISH) PODCASTS
Perhaps they have always been available (I’ve only seen them for purchase), but This American Life started giving away episodes on iTunes here (there are two right now). One might be a Veteran’s Day special as it’s focuses on the statistics that have been reported on the body count in Iraq (very dark) and the other one is about raising kids (zzz) with a David Sedaris reading at the end.
And for those who are Bikerfox fans (I don’t really have the will to explain him, you’ll just have to see for yourself), his video podcast is also available for free too here.
LIVE ACTION FAMILY GUY
Last Saturday’s MadTv had a live action sketch of Family Guy with Seth McFarlene. He really does sound like Brian.
The only popular most popular podcast in history, The Ricky Gervais Show, finished its second season on Tuesday, ending the contract between me and Audible for the 6 crappy episodes they promised me after I forked over $6.95. I’ll admit that’s not a whole lot of money, but after the phenomenally funny first season (which is freewhich is $4.95 for 12 episodes), I have to say that the most recent ramblings of Karl are pretty annoying, which disproves the conspiracy theory that Karl is a scripted bot. If he was indeed a scripted bot, I’m sure I would’ve gotten my $6.95’s worth and the season would’ve actually been funny. (And personally I don’t really care about the validatity of any entity trying to amuse me, that’s why they call it entertaiment, folks.)
I think they know the podcast has run its course as well because now they are trying first season’s trick by offering up free video podcasts with Karl’s brillaint drawings before possibly charging for the subscription (so you better get to downloading and stashing now before Apple puts the MP.4.aa.jj.kk.ss.jj.pp.33.55.ff.whatever lockdown on ya).
I don’t usually do a lot of music posts because my music is key rap, but on the off-chance that some of it actually makes it into the main stream, I thought I’d try to call it so I can for once in my life say, I told you so. Plus I just liked the video even though it gets a little hokey in the end.
