Beautiful Katamari Demo Out on Xbox 360
It only took a whole day to donwload and put back up on the internet to share with y’all. Judging by the demo, the charm of the original game is still there for the most part there, minus some of the dry sense of humor the King of the Cosmos used to have (maybe he’s started going to AA meetings or something).
Now on a stronger system and looking cleaner than ever before, it’s a bit surprising that Namco didn’t attempt upgrade the style of the characters and objects as well because now everything seems more square than ever. Although Beautiful Katamari seems flatter than it did before, I am actually that bothered. This isn’t exactly one of those games where I have expected mind-blowing ingenuity in the sequels. I have always just wanted to play MORE Katamari and more levels at an alarming rate.

Monsieur, Mon fur!
Believe it or not,the Kids in the Hall have been touring incognito (in the States by unadvertised shows, but publicly in Canada, which is basically still being incognito) with actual new sketches. According to The New York Times:Audiences in Montreal, where the Kids unveiled their new show after breaking it in with a few unadvertised performances in Los Angeles in May, would probably have been content with an evening of their greatest hits. They were instead treated to 90 minutes of new material; the Kids reprised none of their signature sketches and few of their familiar characters. (Scott Thompson’s acid-tongued gay-bar philosopher, Buddy Cole, and Mark McKinney’s misanthropic Head Crusher were notable exceptions.) The response was enthusiastic, and the Kids are now talking about another tour and maybe even another movie.
The last time I saw them live was in 2002 at the Los Angeles Wiltern, and even though the show was awesome, I have to say it was like being a a modern-day Renaissance Faire for Emo kids without the convenience of alcoholic beverages. Needless to say, THAT went on the list of things to never do again.

Reyner Banham Loves Los Angeles
Who says I’m posting too many videos? Considering that ninety percent of my television is now in Dutch, the internet is the only plausible way to get most of my kicks. I’m this close to investing my hard earned money and starting a Netflix here in Amsterdam. I could call it Amsterflix, or Amsternet, but right now I’m leaning towards calling it Dam Movies. Who’s got some start-up money?Reyner Bahnham Loves Los Angeles is a classic documentary on LA in all it’s absurd glory back in the day. Actually, if you watch the video, not much has changed except for some of the hairdos, but the style and attitude is all the same.
