Mrs. Huxtible?!

Wow, you really do learn something new everyday.
Before she was actress Phylicia Rashad from the Cosby Show, Phylicia Allen was the wife of an ex-Village People singer who helped her record her very own disco album in 1978. The result was this fine piece of art (and hair) work that housed a nine track album which according to Disco2Go:
The album, like most Can’t Stop Productions, was a concept album telling Josephine Baker’s life story through disco songs. Naturally Morali used both the Village People and the Ritchie Family for backgrounds and enlisted Willis to arrange and co-write most of the material. Allen’s thin voice is bolstered by magnificent tracks that would have been more successful in the hands (or should I say voice) of a real singer. Luckily Casablanca Records spared us any 12″ singles.
Brutal!
